The best way to determine if you have a personal account is to have someone on Facebook search for you. If your account exists, you can attempt to login with your phone number or email address that could be used on the account.

If you find your account but are unsure of your login credentials, below is a link for how to regain access to your Facebook account. If you can’t access your account or do not have one, create a Facebook account.

HOW TO:

Find Your Account

Create a Facebook Account

—-

To use Facebook for your business, you have to have a personal Facebook account to access it.
You should only have one Facebook account, and your personal Facebook account is used to provide administrative permissions for the business. Other than using your personal account to access Facebook, your personal account and the business Facebook page do not interact with each other.

Having a personal Facebook account that has administrative permissions is a not only a necessity for Facebook, but is also a security measure for your business, as you will want to be in control of your page because it is an extension of your business.

Administrative access can also be given to multiple business partners and other employees. By giving admin access it allows employees and business partners to go in and manage the account. Access to the account can also be removed if or when necessary.
