Verifying your website domain is yet another step in the Business Manager setup. It is another way to inform Facebook that your business is legitimate, and serves a role in security for your practice, as it helps to prevent misuse of your domain across Meta platforms.
It is important to have your website administrator available for this step, as this involves adding code to your website.
To get started:
- Login to your personal Facebook account
- Navigate to your Facebook business page
- Switch to use Facebook as the business
- Click on the Meta Business Suite. This will open a new tab in your browser
- Click on All Tools
- Click on Settings, the Business Settings. This will open a new tab in your browser.
- On the left menu, click on Brand Safety and Suitability, then choose Domain
- Click Add and create new domain. Here you will insert your website URL and follow the prompts provided. Your website administrator will be able to insert the meta-tag code in the best way for your site.
- After the code has been installed, click on the “verify domain” button to ensure the set up is complete. Note that this update can take days to show up for verification.
